We've Made Our Patients Smile

before and after botox imagesBefore and after lip botox

Botox is used cosmetically to treat wrinkles in a patient’s forehead area, smoker’s lines around the lips, crow’s feet around the eyes. This treatment can also be used to treat jaw muscles responsible for bruxism and TMJ symptoms as well as temples for frequent headaches/migraines. Dr. Naz is certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, so you can rest assured that the treatment you receive at Precision Dental will look beautiful and enhance your natural features.

Many patients consider Botox for a wide range of reasons. If you are unhappy with facial wrinkles around you forehead, lips, or eyes, schedule a consultation today to see if treatment is right for you. If you suffer from frequent migraines, suspect that you have TMJ, or if you grind your teeth, Botox can relax muscles in your jaw and temple to minimize symptoms and give you relief from pain.

Dr. Naz believes in personalized, conservative treatment, This means that every Botox procedure is fully customized and the dosage used for each patient is decided only after she carefully examines your facial muscles and skin. Each Botox patient at Precision Dental is treated based on their unique esthetic needs and preferences. If you’re interested in Botox, call us today to schedule a consultation with our Bowling Green office and learn more!

What Is Juvederm?

Juvederm is a popular brand of dermal fillers. It’s an injectable product made from a base of hyaluronic acid, which is a clear and gooey substance that’s naturally produced by your body.

As the name suggests, fillers are meant to help restore the contours of your face, reduce signs of aging, and make you look younger. Fillers can be used in many areas, but are most commonly injected into the lips or cheeks.

Lip fillers with Juvederm can help plump up and thicken the lips, which tend to become thin with age. By filling your lips with Juvederm, you can enjoy a more natural, youthful appearance once again.

Juvederm for the cheeks is usually used to help fill out your cheeks if they look “hollow.” Again, this is a common sign of aging, as you tend to lose some of the volume in your face as you age.

Treatment with Juvederm takes only about 15 to 60 minutes, depending on how many treatments you’re getting. Your dentist at Precision Dental will use a syringe to inject a predetermined amount of fillers into specific parts of your face, restoring your appearance. The process doesn’t hurt, since each injection contains a small amount of lidocaine, a common topical numbing agent.

Getting Juvederm at Precision Dental is especially convenient because each treatment usually lasts around 6 months before it begins to break down. So at Precision Dental, you can get Juvederm as part of your routine six-month teeth cleaning and oral exam, which saves you a trip and quite a bit of time.

Is Botox safe?

Yes. Botox is completely safe, especially when administered by a trained professional like Dr. Bryan Packard. As a Bowling Green dentist, Dr. Packard has extensive safety training and a deep knowledge of facial anatomy, allowing him to provide excellent care.

The reason many people think Botox is not safe is because it comes from botulinum toxin, which is widely referred to as one of the most toxic substances in the world. A commonly-shared statistic is that 1 gram of this toxin is dangerous enough to kill a million people.

But Botox contains an extremely tiny amount of this toxin, which is treated to ensure it’s safe to use. Between 1989 and 2003, only 36 cases of adverse reactions, none of which were serious, were reported to the FDA.

So the long and short of it is that, yes. Botox, when used as directed, is completely safe. Side effects are limited and extremely rare, and Botox is considered to be one of the safest cosmetic procedures available today.

How Long does botox last?

This depends on how quickly your body processes Botox, and the specifics of your own facial anatomy. For most people, Botox begins to wear off about 4 months after the procedure. That means it’s best to get Botox injections every 4-6 months if you wish to maintain a smooth, wrinkle-free face.

That makes Botox at Precision Dental very convenient. We can provide you with Botox as part of your six month dental checkups, or as part of other procedures like teeth whitening. By choosing us as your Botox provider in Bowling Green, you’ll enjoy a convenient and fast Botox treatment administered by Dr. Packard, who has years of experience in Botox and Juvederm treatment.
